Hitachi Solutions’ White Hat Hacker Receives Cybersecurity Woman of Japan 2024 Award for Accomplishments as a Technological Leader in the Cybersecurity Field

Hitachi Solutions, Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tsugio Yamamoto; “Hitachi Solutions”) is proud to announce that a “white hat” (ethical) hacker employed by the company has been honored with the Cybersecurity Woman Hacker of Japan 2024 award presented by the international organization United Cybersecurity Alliance, as part of the Cybersecurity Woman Hacker of Japan 2024 awards. She was recognized for her accomplishments as a technological leader in the cybersecurity field in Japan.

The Cybersecurity Woman of Japan 2024 awards celebrate and empower women around the world who are playing a leading role in the cybersecurity industry and driving innovation and inspiration in their organizations. First held in Japan in 2023, the second event this year was co-hosted by the British Ambassador to Japan and held at the British Embassy in Tokyo.

For more than 20 years, Hitachi Solutions has been supporting the security measures of vital infrastructure underpinning society and those of various corporate clients. Momoko Aoyama, who was honored with this year’s award, is a white hat hacker responsible for conducting vulnerability assessments for companies and providing penetration testing services that require advanced technology. She is also contributing to nurturing the next generation of security experts both inside and outside the company through her involvement in managing CTF for GIRLS, a community for female security engineers. In addition to holding security contests, the community conducts educational and awareness-building activities at universities and elementary schools.

Hitachi Solutions will continue to focus on developing highly skilled and qualified personnel to help customers in a wide range of industries achieve sustainable management.
